UK Distribution Centre, Gloucestershire, Storage Space Doubled

When needing to double its storage facility, this Gloucestershire Warehousing Distribution Centre chose Advantage to project manage the complete job.

A large 1100 sq.m. storage mezzanine was installed over the whole building, doubling the space for this warehouse facility and allowing stock to be stored at one location, rather than at costly external storage facilities.

Advantage liaised with Building Control where the floor was one hour fire rated with a protected means of escape to one staircase to comply with Building Regulations.

To complete the project the warehouse was installed with general and emergency lighting, with smoke detection to the ground floor.

Since fork lifts would be working in the goods in and out pallet gate areas, column guards were installed to the exposed columns.
