When this ‘Black Country’ Mechanical and Ventilation Services manufacturer
needed to expand its office and rest room space, the only way was to build over
the existing non load bearing ground floor offices.
‘Advantage’ carefully planned the mezzanine column locations to minimise
disruption within the existing office, cutting holes into the non load bearing
roof to allow the new mezzanine columns to be fed through the ceiling ready for
the Mezzanine build.
Once the Mezzanine was complete, works above were relatively straight
forward, including a fire protected means of escape, one hour fire protection to
the mezzanine floor, Part M stairway, partitioning and drylining to form
offices, training room and first floor rest area.
To complete the project, Advantage installed vinyl flooring to all areas
excluding the training room which was carpet tiled!
